Why are there no women quoted on the homepage?

Well, because we live in a male-centered world − like it or not, and women, on one hand, are unfortunately not heard that much, and on the other also have not said that much of what is categorically different from what males have said about the value of life.

However, women have said much about the value of being a woman − that’s for sure. And the experience of being a woman in a man’s world feeds into what a woman might conceive of as the value of life. Optimists, pessimists, skeptics, nihilists, cynics, you name it. Women fall into these categories just as well. They just have different justifications as to why they may be an optimist, a pessimist, a cynic, etc.

I have read Simone de Beauvoir and other female authors of like mindset. And I dig what they say. At the moment, however, I am interested in reflecting more on metaphysical and less on ethical philosophy. That might change one day soon…

If there’s a book that you want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.
